Donna Valente, SPOL Vice-President of Sales, passed late yesterday afternoon. Her life encompassed six decades of giving. She gave of herself from an inexhaustible source of compassion, understanding, and grace. She cared beyond herself in her approach to all things life: reaching out to comfort a friend or coworker who was down while she herself contended with adversity from both within and without her body. She was a friend of both stray kitten and cat alike; rescuing and caring for all feline friends who happened her way.  

She was a fierce advocate for clients often engaging in spirited conversation to ensure their best value and experience. We would often marvel at how she appeared to effortlessly rally from personal strife to light up as soon as she made contact with a potential new client, whether for professional or personal conversation.  

She is now a part of all of us: our thoughtfulness, giving, kindnesses, and smiles. And as we enter day one with her spirit all around, we all rejoice that finally Willy Loman has met his match on that great sales floor in the sky. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Donna’s loved ones. Godspeed, Donna, a gift not momentarily held, a gift that will live forever.
